Supporters of Akeredolu and Aiyedatiwa are organizing a demonstration in Ondo.
By; Mary Owolabi.
Supporters of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa have announced plans to stage a massive protest in Akure this week.
According to reports, the recent decision by Justice Emeka Nwete to transfer Aiyedatiwa’s case—which is currently pending before the appeal court—has sparked the protest.
Akeredolu’s supporters have also promised to hold a counter-protest. Leading the charge for a protest against Akeredolu is the former House of Representatives member Kokade Akinjo. He is pleading with all progressives to participate in the demonstration regardless of their political affiliation, as a sizable demonstration will send a message to those holding the Constitution hostage.
