The UAE government has granted Air Peace permission to operate direct flights to Dubai, following Emirates Airlines’ decision to resume operations in Nigeria.
The announcement was made at the Dubai Airshow, where Emirates Airlines’ management announced its readiness to resume flights to Nigeria.
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, Festus Keyamo, also met with the management of an airline executive, led by CEO Dana Hatcic, who expressed interest in establishing an MRO facility in Nigeria.
Keyamo also expressed the possibility of a maiden edition of the Nigeria Air Show in November 2024, making Nigeria the first African country to host such an event.
Keyamo also visited the pavilions of leading aviation and aerospace industries to inspect modern technologies that could drive his 5-Point agenda for Nigeria’s aviation industry, focusing on infrastructure improvement and innovation in civil aviation technologies.
The Dubai Airshow, which began on November 13 and ended on November 17, attracted a large number of participants from around the world.
