Nigeria at 64: Let’s stay hopeful and overcome, Okotie encourages fellow Nigerians.
By: Mary Odunayo
The pastor of the Household of God Church in Lagos, Rev. Chris Okotie, emphatically urges Nigerians to seize the opportunity presented by the nation’s 64th Independence Anniversary to renew their faith in God’s promises.
In a press release shared on Monday by his media adviser, Ladi Ayodeji, Rev. Okotie drew heavily from the Bible and referenced the story of Abraham to encourage Nigerians to remain hopeful for better days ahead.
He reminded them that God never abandons His people. In his goodwill message, he said, “These are challenging times. Our faith in God should be the stabilizing force that keeps us steady as we navigate the turbulent waters of our complex reality.
Nigeria is a client nation of God with a prophetic destiny, and the sovereign oversight of Almighty God is guaranteed. Nigeria is strong. Nigeria will survive. So, keep hoping. Always hope. Keep hoping, always!
Rev. Okotie has consistently emphasized that Nigeria has a unique relationship with God, reassuring the people that the country’s challenges should not be a source of fear.
