Governor Abdullah Sule of Nasarawa state announced the index case of COVID-19 at a press briefing .

The index case said to be a lady who travelled from Kano state to Kokona local government area of Nasarawa.

He said the lady has since been evacuated from Kokona to Lafia where there are better facilities to take care of her.
Meanwhile, her family from where she came from have been isolated in order to conduct a proper test to ensure that her family members are yet to be infected, Sule stated.
