Every day in our lives, people suffer as a result of trusting or not trusting. It is a pandemic that has diminished the value of humans in today’s morbid world, whether in business, offices, workspaces, relationships, friendships, or even marriages. Trust is the peak of a gift and the most treasured asset in life. When trust vanishes, the value becomes threatened.
People experience different aspects of trust every day, and they address issues of trust in diverse ways. It can incite rage, create distance, and even cut off communication. If trust is not managed well, it can set a community ablaze.
Self-trust is the most dangerous of all trusts when you can’t predict, process, and protect your emotions, actions, and thoughts. You become vulnerable and you, too, might lose yourself. Self-trust can’t be managed, and sometimes it can be difficult for some people to manage. It can lead to depression, mental health problems, and anxiety.
Relations and relationships. Trusts are another very tough type of trust to manage. It can be sad when you find yourself not trusting or not being trusted by your own family, friends, or even spouse. It can be worrisome and very distorting to one’s personality. This trust level can be between parent and child, husband and wife, siblings, and so on. It is one of the most destructive ways to cut short the growth of any individual.
Trust in communities and nations is like a pain in the ass. You might never be a great citizen or build a great nation if citizens can’t trust their leaders and their leaders can trust the reaction of their followers. If any nation must be great and sustain its values, then trust must be well examined, experimented on, and explored. Most countries in the world where the leaders are trusted to protect the interests of their citizens, and citizens are responsive to the call of patriotism, become achievers, among others.
Business and transactional trust are very weak in our nation. This type of trust is the bedrock of all trust in any community. It affects exchange between people; it makes prices unpredictable and impoverishes the poor, while the rich become richer by cheating the system.
Until trust is administered with respect, realization, and reaffirmation, a nation without trust will only keep running without raising its head. Without trust, marriages and relationships will never be in harmony. Unless partners in business and people who engage in transactions employ trust, profitability might never be sustainable. And, if every individual refuses to be truthful to themselves, pressure will increase while the pleasure of trust might remain an illusion.
Let’s be bound with trust, so that love, peace, and unity shall become our everlasting treasure.
