Tinubu appointed Olasupo Olusi as the new MD of the Bank of Industry.

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Olasupo Olusi as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Industry (BOI) for four years. The appointment follows the voluntary resignation of the former BOI Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Olukayode Pitan.

 

Dr. Olusi is a World Bank economist and development finance expert, with over 20 years of experience. He served as the economic adviser to the then Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance between 2011 and 2015. He obtained a Master’s degree in International Money, Finance, and Investment and a Doctorate in Finance and Economics from Durham University, United Kingdom, in 2005.

 

The President has urged Dr. Olusi to ensure that Nigerians operating enterprises of all sizes across sectors are given fair and equitable access to much-needed support to boost employment generation and wealth creation, especially for lower and middle-income enterprise operators.
