The Nollywood veteran, Olofa Ina, has passed away.

It has been reported that Chief Adedeji Aderemi, also known as Olofa Ina or Baba Olofa Ina, has passed away. His colleagues, including Saidi Balogun, have confirmed the news and expressed their condolences.

Saidi Balogun shared on his Instagram profile, “Goodnight Legend Chief Adedeji Aderemi alias Olofa Ina.”

The late actor remains a well-known figure in Yoruba theatrical and cinema circles. He was born on May 15, 1950, in Ede, Osun State, to Late Chief AbdulSalam Aderemi and Late Madam Aisha Aderemi. His birth took place during the reign of the Late Oba John Adetoyese Laoye, who was the then Timi of Ede Land.

In 1972, he founded the Olofa Ina Theatre Group with Erinfolamin, Dasofunjo, Gbolagade Akinpelu, and the late Oyetunji of Esinnla.

Olofa Ina also created several television shows such as Odetedo, Lakaaye, Kogun Maja, and Ade Oba.
