Muahmmad Sa’ad Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), has announced that Ramadan will begin in the county on April 2, 2022.

This was announced by the spiritual leader of Nigerian Muslims during a broadcast on Friday.

According to him, the new moon for Ramadan was seen in Zamfara, Sokoto,  and other parts of Nigeria.

Ramadan is a holy month in which Muslims around the world fast from dawn to dusk.
