It was UNESCO who in 1993 propose and reached conclusion about Commemorating Tolerance Day. In 1995 the United Nation concluded and agree that November 16 of every year should be the day of Tolerance day.

The Imam of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Dr. Saeed while delivering his lecture gave an insight on tolerance school of thought; the exclusivest; the inclusivest and Pluralist.

Exclusivest are those who believes that there should be no room for any tolerance; the inclusivest tends to be superficious whose promises are phantom, this is the style adopted by the politician; the pluralist says everyone is right on the choices he or she made particularly that we all worship same God.

“Tolerance is not base on assumption of no difference but recognition of the differences”.

“We should stop talking at each other but start talking with each other by establishing relationship”. Lasuth Imam advised

We need to be deliberate in appreciating others opinion and choices. He stressed that “Allah will judge everyone by the time they live in and information available to them with which they have lived”.

“Religious leaders must preach constructively as he asked where has destructive preaching lead us”.

Dr. Saeed Ahmed, concluded that survival law is not a topic for debate.

Rev. Dr. Gabriel Olubayo Adepoju in his own lecture said tolerance should be observed from the perspective that we are first human and not religious.

He stated that “Africa are liberal monotheist and not polytheist”.
