Police capture a bandit receiving treatment for a gunshot wound at a hospital in the plateau.

One of the bandits who assaulted the Zurack Community in Plateau State’s Wase Local Government Area was caught by police while being treated at a hospital for bullet wounds.
Alabo Alfred, a spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command, verified this in a statement issued Tuesday.
He further revealed that soldiers from the Police Force killed seven bandits in an aggressive onslaught by a joint team of DSS and other security operatives in Bangalala Forest, Wase Local Government Area.
According to the PPRO, the apprehended bandits have been sent to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a confidential investigation.
According to the PPRO, “Following the aggressive onslaught against bandits by a combined team of DSS and other security operatives in Bangalala Forest of Wase LGA of Plateau State, a border between Plateau, Bauchi and Taraba State respectfully, seven bandits have been neutralized in the area.”
“Other bandits fleeing the operation attacked Zurak and Dakai villages, killing nine people and burning down six houses.
The statement also stated, “Following the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Plateau State command, has made more deployment to the area and has directed the Area Commander of Langtang to relocate his base to Wase Local Government Area with immediate effect.”The command is also glad to inform the state government and the people of Plateau State that one of the bandits who fled and sought treatment at a hospital in Wase was apprehended with bullet wounds.
“The suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Jos, for discreet investigation.”
It stated that the commissioner told the police that they would not rest until the culprits of this heinous act were apprehended and brought to justice.
