President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday had a private meeting with members of the All Progressives Congress Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, led by the Governor of Yobe State, Mr. Mai Mala Buni.

The meeting was held behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The planned nationwide registration of party members was approved at the meeting, by the President.

While addressing the State House correspondents after the meeting, governor Buni said the committee is progressing its reconciliation efforts.

In response to question regarding the committee’s tenure, Buni said only the party’s National Executive Committee can decide on it.
