PDP appoints Osun state governor as Atiku campaign council member

The appointment of Senator Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, as a member of the campaign council has been authorized by the Peoples Democratic Party’s leadership.

A memo issued by the Director-General of the PDP PCO, Governor Aminu Tambuwal, on Saturday announced Adeleke’s appointment as the Chairman of the South-West Coordinating Committee of the campaign council.

As part of the strategic campaign offices that will guide Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign, other important PDP members were also selected.

Dino Melaye, a senator, was chosen to serve as the director of public affairs.

“These appointments are with immediate effects,” Tambuwal said.

2. South-South: Senator Duoye Diri (Chairman)

3. South-West: Senator Ademola Adeleke (Chairman)

5. North-East: Darius Ishiaku (Chairman)

6. North-West: Adamu Aliero (Chairman)

The campaign council also made appointments of Zonal Liaison Desk Officers.

One of the most recent appointments made by the PDP campaign council is Adeleke’s.

According to Ayekooto, Yakubu Dogara, a former speaker of the House of Representatives, was chosen to join the PDP Campaign Council on December 4.

The appointment of Dogara was disclosed in a statement by Sokoto State Governor Tambuwal.

The PDP Presidential Campaign Council’s leadership wanted to formally announce that Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara had been named a member of the campaign council with immediate effect.

This is a part of our ongoing effort to work with Atiku Abubakar, our presidential candidate, to restore Nigeria, a great nation.

Member of the All Progressives Congress Dogara had voiced objection to the party’s Muslim-Muslim ticket.

At a PDP presidential rally in Lagos, he has now been formally welcomed to the party.

The change occurred after Atiku received the support of the Northern Figures Consultative Forum, which is made up of Christian and Muslim religious and political leaders in the North, including Dogara.
