Workers of the six state owned tertiary institutions in Oyo State have issued a 7-day ultimatum to the Oyo State government to implement the new minimum wage.
The workers, who announced the new ultimatum in a letter to the Commissioner for Education, Olasunkanmi Olaleye, on Wednesday, threatened to commence an indefinite strike if their demands were not met by the 9th of December.
Ayekoto recalls that the workers had earlier issued a 14-day ultimatum to the state government on the 14th November.
The new ultimatum was announced following the refusal of both parties to reach any tangible agreement.
