Ayekooto has gathered that the entitlements of retirees across various Local Government Areas in Oyo State were cleared off today.

It was a happy moment for the pensioners of the local government and the school teachers in Oyo state as the cheque worth of One Billion, Fifty Million Naira (N1, 050,000,000,00) was presented by Oyo State Local Government Pension’s Board under the chairmanship of Prince Bayo Adeyemi to various categories of pensioners of the local government and school teachers throughout the 33 local government areas of Oyo state.

In the speech delivered by the chairman of the board, Prince Bayo Adeyemi, he acknowledged the tenacious spirits of the pensioners for their patience and perseverance after the retirements from the active services.

He lauded the Oyo state government under the watch of Gov Seyi Makinde for making the welfarism of the retirees and pensioners a priority at all time since he emerged the Governor of Oyo state.

The chairman advised the beneficiaries over the judicious spending of their gratuities and pensions received today from the state government.

He appreciated the efforts of the members of the board for their unalloyed commitment on the success of the first official assignment following the constitution of the board and the official confirmation by the state government with a view to prioritizing the welfare of the pensioners in Oyo state as frequently emphasized by Engr Oluwaseyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State.
