Oyo State now has a new commissioner of police, Mrs. Ngozi Onadeko who has just been posted to the command is the first female to occupy that position in the pace-setter state, Ayekooto has learnt.

She will be replacing Mr Nwachuckwu Enwonwu, who took over 7 months ago from Mr Shina Olukolu.

 

The order, according to police sources, was given yesterday by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

 

The posting, with those of other commissioners of police to various commands, is with immediate effect.

The state police public relations officer, who Was recently promoted to the rank of Chief Suprintendent of Police CSP, Olugbenga Fadeyi, could not be reached for comment as at press time. Text message sent to his line has not be replied as at the time of filing this report.
