NPFL issues a deadline to clubs regarding doping tests.

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) board is requesting that clubs educate their players about the importance of abstaining from illegal substances.

The NPFL revealed on Monday that it will start randomly testing players to reduce the usage of illegal substances.

To ensure the effectiveness of the operation, the league body has already purchased testing kits from the United Kingdom.

The clubs have previously been informed and given two weeks’ notice before the start of the drug testing, according to the NPFL Chief Operating Officer.

The NPFL media cited Owumi as saying, “There’s an ongoing training of personnel on the use of these doping test kits.”

The players have the following two weeks to detoxify and get rid of any illegal substances they may have in their bodies .The entire range of appropriate consequences will be applied to those who fail the tests.

Season 2023–2024 of the NPFL got underway last weekend.

This weekend will see the second matchday’s games.
