In Borno state approximately 100 Boko Haram/ISWAP militants have been killed by airstrikes of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF). Among them is the group’s sought commander, Abu Asad. NAF airstrikes killed Abu Asad, the leader of Boko Haram, and 100 other people.

Two of the three structures and the troop carriers were destroyed in the attacks, which also damaged the terrorists’ structures and vehicles.

The Air Component Commander and his soldiers were complimented by Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the chief of staff, for their efforts in keeping the terrorists on their toes.

He asked them to keep in sync with the Land Component, to keep the terrorists under pressure and force them to surrender or face elimination.
