The Atiku Media office has stated in response to recent allegations of forgery against former Vice President Atiku Abubakar by the Presidency and the All Progressives Congress (APC). The statement accuses the APC of trying to downplay allegations of forgery against President Bola Tinubu by dragging Atiku’s name into the scandal.

Atiku’s Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, has refuted Tinubu’s allegations that Atiku engaged in forgery. The change of Atiku’s name from Siddiq Abubakar was well-documented in an affidavit dated 18 August 1973. Ibe also claimed that Tinubu has been involved in forgery and lies throughout his life.

Finally, Ibe stated that Tinubu’s attempt to implicate Atiku in the forgery scandal was a tactic to deflect from the allegations of forgery made against him.
