The issue of tolerance is germane and Lagos holds this dear as it is the nerve centre of tolerance and model for other state in Nigeria“. Hon Setonji, the Chairman House Committee on Home Affairs had stressed

Dr. Akin Adio (Baba Aladura), the Secretary of Christain Association of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter deliver the goodwill message from the Chairman.
He said “Tolerance in practice is to look at the relationship between the muslimn and chirstian in Lagos state, we carried ourselves along and we most times call to check on ourselves to know the welfare status. We are our neighbours keepers”
He however stated that “Even though the decsion and pronoucement by the State Government during the pandemic was not that favourable to the religious body, we still tolerated”
The Chief Imam of Lagos who was represented by Dr. Shittu said in his goodwill message that “Prophet Muhammad first assignment and message when he migrated to city of medina was to unite all tribes and religion together; and that is tolerance” he urge the leaders to emulate the Prophet.
He stressed and emphasies on welfarisim that the pandemic has dealth a big blow on the citizen and we should ensure our neighbour does not go hungry and or naked . he concluded by saying respect is reciprocal and we should strugle to earn respect and not demand for respect.
The Chaplin of the Alausa, Rev. Ayo Olu Oyadotun mentioned that forbearance without taken offence and acceptance without consideration strengthen the bond and express tolerance.
