According to MSN, Biden forced his DNC to change his 2024 primary calendar to start with states that heavily favored Biden in the 2020 primary. In case you don’t remember, in the historic “first state,” Iowa, Biden was beaten by the likes of Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg.

But Biden’s rise to the top began with important victories in South Carolina and surrounding states. And ironically, that’s where his 2024 primary begins for good old Joe from Scranton.

President Biden has made clear his intention to seek re-election in 2024. All doubts were dispelled when he surprised members of the Democratic National Committee, dramatically restructuring the early primary calendar and bending it in his favor. It was the latest signal from a dedicated president.

The DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee has been deliberating a new order for the early states for months, which would have already removed Iowa from the list for early elections. , committee members were reluctant to move forward without input from the party chairman. When Biden got involved, he did so with a proposal that demanded more change than anyone outside the White House thought. Momentum is a powerful force when it comes to primaries. When a candidate picks up speed, it is often difficult to stop. This new calendar change will allow Biden to pick up some momentum early on.
