JAMB set to release 2024 UTME results

BY: Adisa Deborah

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will be released soon. According to a notice distributed to media in Abuja, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, JAMB Registrar, is scheduled to hold a press briefing on Monday to reveal the results and associated information. The announcement was made by Fabian Benjamin, the Board’s Head of Public Relations, on Sunday.

However, there are hints that the results will be revealed on Monday for applicants who took the UTME in the first few days, while others will be released after “due diligence” is finished.

The board previously stated that the decision to postpone the publishing of the results for a few days was made to enable adequate time for rigorous inspection.

The examination committee claims that this step was taken to ensure the validity and integrity of the results, removing any room for doubt or uncertainty, particularly about matters like impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other malpractices.

Over 1.9 million students registered for the 2024 UTME in the last week at more than 700 computer-based test locations around the country.

The 2024 examination, which commenced on Friday, April 19, 2024, is expected to be concluded today.
