The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Engr. Dr. Mojeed Alabi Balogun advised Nigerian Youths to actively get involved in government and not be indifferent.

He said this while talking to Youths and others at the Post End SARS Protests Stakeholders Peace Meeting organized by the Local Government.

According to him, the mass looting and vandalization of public facilities is as a result of pervasive moral decadence in the society.

“Human lives and public utilities are no longer valued by our people”, he said.

He however, advised parents, guardians, religious and community leaders to go back and imbibe the basic moral values in their wards so they can become responsible, law abiding citizens and successful political leaders in the future.

The Chairman further expressed his gratitude to the State Government and the entire people of Ikeja Local Government for protecting the public facilities in Ikeja Local Government and its environ from being looted and vandalized by miscreants.
