Prior to the 2023 General Elections, the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organization named the Ekiti State presidential campaign council on Sunday.

Bisi Kolawole, the PDP candidate for governor in the state’s recently concluded election, was named the council’s chairman, and Chief Makanjuola Ogundipe was named the vice chairman.

Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of the state, and Biodun Olujimi, the senator who represents Ekiti South Constituency, were left off the list.

“The Peoples Democratic Party has approved the composition of the Presidential Campaign Council for Ekiti State subject to NEC approved criteria,” stated a press release signed and issued by the Director-General, PCO, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

Tambuwal said the campaign council was composed to see to the emergence of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the forthcoming general elections.

The statement added, “The membership of the Ekiti State PCC and SCMC is as follows:
