Enugu State Government has confirmed another positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state, on Saturday.
The Commissioner for Health, Prof Ikechukwu Obi explained that the case was as a result of contact with the third case in the state capital who had positive inter-state travel history.
In view of the current development, the total number of COVID-19 cases ever in Enugu now tolls to 10 with eight active cases.
The commissioner reported that the patient had also been admitted for isolation, undergoing treatment.
He implored residents to stay at home and only go out when the necessity arises.
He also advised residents to make use of face mask when going out, practice physical/social distancing, and exercise proper respiratory hygiene.
Further hygienic measures he advised reads: “Wash your hands as often as possible with soap and running water for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer when there is no facility to wash your hands
“Sanitize surfaces all around you as often as possible with a 1in6 mixture of bleach and water.
