Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has tested negative for Covid-19 and will join his team at Chelsea on Wednesday for the UEFA Champions League quarter-final.
The 62-year-old did not travel to London with his players and staff on Tuesday for the first leg against his former side, but tested negative on Wednesday.
After testing positive for coronavirus on March 30, the Italian missed Real’s 2-1 win over Celta Vigo.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel expressed his hope that Ancelotti would attend the match.
Tuchel, speaking on Tuesday, said: “Being present and having direct impact is always preferable.
“He’s a big, big coach with a big personality, so having him on the bench in these kinds of games would be great.
“Being in the middle of the group, always communicating not only with words, but also with a smile, an embrace,” says the coach.
In 2010, Ancelotti led Chelsea to the Premier League and FA Cup double.
