Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is insistent the Premier League has the best managers in the world but busy schedules prevent them from forming close friendships.

England’s top flight has some of the biggest managerial names in football with Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola battling it out at the top of the table for the last two seasons.

Jose Mourinho, who has won trophies in four different countries, also looks to be moulding his Tottenham side into potential title challengers this season.

Ancelotti’s Everton made a promising start to the season but suffered three straight defeats going into the international break.

The Italian, who has won the Champions League three times, believes the Premier League is so competitive because of the quality of the managers in the division.

‘It’s true that the Premier League has the best coaches, regardless of my name, but it does indeed have top-notch coaches,’ the Everton boss told beIN sports.

‘I respect them very much because our work is so difficult and complicated. I try to support my colleagues anytime I can.’

Ancelotti has previously described Liverpool boss Klopp as a ‘friend’ but insisted he has not had time to form a special relationship with any of his rival coaches.

‘I don’t have any special friendship with any of them because we don’t have time to meet, talk, and eat together.

‘We’re always busy, but relations among us are good.’

Everton dropped to seventh following their defeat by Manchester United but face a more favourable run of games after the international break with Fulham, Leeds and Burnley their next three fixtures.
