Bloody day in Saki, as Indigenes, Customs officers face off

As a result of a chaotic clash between Saki indigenes and customs officers, which led to the death one from each group, the Okere of Saki, Oba Khalid Olabisi has declared a curfew in Saki.

It was gathered that the commotion began when Customs officers allegedly chased an alleged smuggler of Saki origin into the town.
According to a couple of sources who pleaded anonymity, they said the smuggler was ‘killed’ in the process.

Consequently, some individuals in the town attacked the customs office, bringing death to one of their officers and burning a customs vehicle.

Following the attack on the Customs office, the chaotic fight became more intense.

Details were not accessible as at the time of writing this report,as the populace have deserted major markets following the total curfew directive from the king to prevent further breakdown of law and order.
