The 10 Local Govt Caretaker Chairmen, tell me, which of the underlisted programmes or projects have you ever come together to conceive, initiate launch or commission?
What have you being doing with all the humongous allocations?
Bring out and let see, if you have a joint Okeogun Development Plan?
Okeogun Hospital?
Okeogun library?
Okeogun Housing Estate?
Okeogun Hospital?
Okeogun Secondary School?
Okeogun Property Management Company?
Okeogun Farm Settlement?
Okeogun Transport Company?
Okeogun Cattle Breeders Company?
Which of the past local government Chairman has ever gone beyond being a commissioner or state Honourable apart from those who became state Chairmen of political parties? We can count them?
It appears your target in most cases is the local government allocations. Get the position, acquire new buildings and start oppressing people in your localities and become local champions.
Besides being your local government Chairmen, how many of you have dreamt of slugging it out with your peers at the state or federal levels?
It appears most of you suffer inferiority complex. If our areas is rural, does that make us bush people?
If you have been political serious and consequential, it should not difficult for then ten local government to tilt the state government towards Okeogun.
Ordinary joint bursary awards for exceptionally brilliant students and indigent students in the name of Okeogun, you cannot organise except individual local government.
Don’t you know the same fate that has befallen the six south west states for their inability will soon befall us, Okeogun people if we don’t start from now?
No Oodua hospital, no Oodua farms, no Oodua security, no Oodua market, no Oodua university jointly established by the 6 states.
The only Odua groups of companies, you have almost killed them.
All diaries farms established by Chief Awolowo have been converted into Estates. All farm settlement have been abolished. You now woke up at 11th hour and want to establish Oodua Republic. Which one comes first?
The same with our local government areas in Okeogun. Ordinary games and sports competition in the name of Okeogun, you have not successfully financed, yet you will want Okeogun state.
In each of the local government, you cannot name a street with the name of another local government, yet you claim we are one Okeogun. Tell me if there is Saki Street in Kishi. Tell me, if there is Kajola street in Iseyin. Tell me, if there is Igbeti street in Itesiwaju.
Or tell me if there is Sabigana Hall in Saki, Okere Hall in Iseyin, Aseyin Conference Room in Atisbo Local Government?
What will even convince outsiders that Okeogun people are one? How will an indigene of Iwere Ile agree that he/she is of the same Okeogun with the son and daughter from Igboho?
Ordinary Okeogun mechanic village, Okeogun Quarry you can’t establish. Even our legislators, particularly in the state House of Assembly, you can’t see them drawing attention to Okeogun in unison. The federal legislators are better, because they are independent. The political parties in Okeogun areas are run and managed like the annexes of the successive governors. If one house of assembly member from Okeogun is too vocal, it’s his people, particularly the party Chairmen or the commissioners that would warn him. They are almost ready to expel him from the party because he is raising motions that the governor is not ready to listen to.
Let the governor be annoyed with one local government Chairman for doing the right thing, all the remaining Chairmen instead of rallying round one of their own, they will all boycott him. Running local government administration as if we are under military administration.
Our governors are Emperors. What they will not take from the president is what they are doing to the local government.
I don’t know why you must be a governor’s boy before you get party ticket to contest election? It appears we are running fiefdom.
Well, hope is not lost. The Okeogun Students are coming up and they are doing things together in the name of Okeogun.
You the above 50s, I’m sorry for you all.
Meanwhile, I have conducted my independent investigation and I came to that irresistible conclusion that in the category of people who do not care about power shift to Okeogun, the so called political leaders, the popular and the not too popular ones are in the majority. Therefore, the coast is clear for everybody to fend for himself. The leaders have shown by their body language they are not ready and we the followers should find our ways. I will certainly not wait for any leader’s direction again, it’s very clear, they are enjoying the largesse of the Government of the day and cannot do otherwise.
Competence, Character, Performance, integrity are the watchwords.
If you noticed any person that almost everybody who worked with him are complaining that he is either ungrateful to them, or has sidelined them or shortchanged them or did not fulfil the agreements he made with them, he is not a good leader. If you worked for him, you worked in vain.
If a Politician abandons his benefactors and old friends to embrace you, he will soon deal with you. Pasan ti a fi na iyale, o n be laja iyawo. Have a nice day from
