The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, has directed all the union’s zonal coordinators and branch chairpersons to participate in the ongoing nationwide strike declared by the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC).

At a Joint National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of NLC and TUC, all affiliate unions were instructed to begin a service withdrawal effective midnight on November 13th, 2023.

As an affiliate of NLC, all members of our union are urged to participate in this action to protect the interests of Nigerian workers. The leadership of the union’s zonal coordinators and branch chairpersons should immediately mobilize our members to join this action.

“A people united cannot be defeated,” he said.
