There are now 184 recently graduated 2020 recruits working for the Anambra State Police Command.

The personnel were graduates of the Oji-river Police College in Enugu State.

When speaking to the recruits at the Command headquarters in Awka, the state’s commissioner of police, CP Echeng Echeng, said the success of police officers depended on the caliber of their character, discipline, and professionalism.

They were warned by Echeng not to do anything that would reflect poorly on them or the Nigeria Police Force.

He congratulated Baba Usman, the Inspector-General of Police, and his management staff for taking the initiative to develop their manpower and for deploying these officers in accordance with the idea of community policing principles.

He added that the deployment has increased the Command’s motivation to improve the state’s public safety and tranquility.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Anietie Eyoh, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Aderemi Adeoye, and the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Finance and Administration, DCP Peter Ozigi, were among those in attendance.
