      After 10 days in captivity, Benue Commissioner gets released.

Mathew Abo, the Benue State Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, who was kidnapped on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at his home in Zaki-Biam, has reclaimed his freedom.

According to reliable sources who did not want their names published, Abo was freed by his captors early on Thursday, October 5, and has since been reunited with his family.

However, the sources did not specify whether or not the N60 million ransom demanded by the abductors was paid.

The Commissioner was held captive for ten days before being released.
