I commiserate with the Government and people of Oyo State, especially the good people of the great Oyo Kingdom, on the transition of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo.
“Iku baba yeye” was a man of immense wisdom, courage and a great depository of history and culture.
He was never afraid of making his position known on difficult issues even in situations where other mortals would rather play “ostrich” with their heads in the sand.
Oyo Kingdom, Oyo State, Nigeria and, indeed, Africa has lost a great son.
May Kabiyesi receive a joyous reception from his ancestors and may Almighty Allah grant him al-jannah firdaus, ameen.
