Dr. Momodu Jimah, the Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi in Edo State, had been pronounced dead.
It was gathered that the 60-year old man gave up the ghost around 7 pm on Friday following a brief illness.
The Public Relations Officer of the Federal Government-owned tertiary institution, Mustapha Oshiobugie, confirmed the incident and burial arrangements to newsmen .
Arrangements to bury his remains were ongoing this morning according to Islamic rites.
