Police release Portable after completing bail conditions.

After spending the night in a police cell, musician Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, was freed by the Lagos State Police Command.

SP Benajmin Hundeyin, the Lagos state public relations officer, verified the release to Vanguard this evening, saying he was released this afternoon.

When asked if Portable had resolved the difficulties, the spokeswoman responded, “I have no idea, but what I can say is that he has been granted bail.” 

 Recall that the ‘Zazzu’ singer was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly failing to clear a debt acquired when he purchased a Mercedes Benz GLE 350 from Ogunsanwo Temitope (Temmy Autos), an auto dealer in the state. 

Portable reportedly spent only N13 million after purchasing the vehicle, which was worth N27 million. He was alleged to have refused to pay the N14 million balance.
