By; Mary Owolabi

Thousands of Rivers State youths, primarily from the state’s riverine areas, stormed the Government House on Monday in support of Governor Siminalaye Fubara.

The yougsters stormed the Government House immediately after the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Martin’s Amaewhule, signed the impeachment notice against Governor Fubara.

It was also reported that when Governor Fubara attended the Assembly to reject the claimed impeachment procedure against him, he was teargassed.

Six MPs, including the House Leader, Hon Edison Ehie, who are loyal to Governor Fubara, have been suspended for allegedly bombing the Assembly on Sunday night.

Some of the teenagers who talked to our reporter on the condition of anonymity threatened to render the state ungoverned if Fubara was impeached.
