Since its release on the August 10th, 2023 on Netflix, the movie has received glowing accolades on reviews and the people’s sweetheart Bimbo did not hesitate to shower applause and share her excitement.
She commended and acknowledged the effort of Femi Adebayo and his commitments to the film’s success while revealing how the movie made her feel in the first twenty minutes into watching the movie. Since its premiere on august 10, the movie has received excellent reviews and has been hailed with awe.
Bimbo waltz into the street of Instagram to upload a short snippet of the movie expressing her deep excitement for the release of Jagun Jagun. She described what she felt as a rush of adrenaline which caused her to shiver just 20 minutes into the movie. She praised Femi Adebayo for his dedication to the film’s success and a promotion of culture.
She said, “I have never been more excited about the 10th of August in my life. Barely twenty minutes into this master piece and I am already shaking. Dear uncle @femiadebayosalami, I know the hardwork and dedication you put into this masterpiece. I am not surprised at the result. Well-done sir and congratulations egbon. Jagun Jagun is now showing on Netflix. I would have said its stars your faves, but omo, even your faves’ ‘face dey inside.”
Since its release, the movie has garnered praise from fans and critics who commended its storyline, rich cultural display, cinematography and casts. The venue of the premiere of the movie Jagun jagun was bathed in bright colours, and a rich display of Yoruba culture, with talking drums, local fabrics, horses and ushers clad in traditional attire featuring prominently. The majority of the guests made grand ceremonious entrance including actor Deyemi Okanlawon who rode pridefully into the movie premiere on horseback. Other guests who graced the movie premiere include the Elegushi of Ikate-Elegushi kingdom, Oba Saheed Elegushi; and actors such as Sola Sobowale, Faithia Williams, Odunlade Adekola, Adebayo Salami, Yinka Quadri, Jaiye Kuti, MUyiwa Ademola, Lateef Adedimeji, and wife, Adebimpe; Bukola Awoyemi, Joke Silva, Ibrahim Chatta, Kunle Afolayan, Gbenga Adeyinka, Peju Ogunmola, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, Eniola Ajao, Efe Irele, Juliana Olayode, Tayo Sobola, Dayo Amusa, Kemi Afolabi, Bimbo Thomas, adebowale Adedayo popularly called Mr. Macaroni and Ruth Kadiri.
