Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret.) on Saturday received congratulations from Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on his 80th birthday, praising his life of “unblemished, honest, and selfless service to the nation.”
A statement that Osinbajo personally signed and captioned “Buhari has demonstrated it’s possible to serve honestly, forthrightly & selflessly” contains his birthday message.
Happy 80th birthday, Mr. President! The vice president and his wife Dolapo Osinbajo wrote in the statement.
It is possible to serve the country and our people honestly, forthrightly, and selflessly, as evidenced by your exceptional life of spotless devotion to the nation as an army officer, governor, minister, military head of state, and two-term civilian president.
