At Kudendan community in Kaduna State, marauding gunmen killed two people and kidnapped a Catholic Church Reverend Father, Joseph Akeke.

When the gunmen stormed the neighbourhood at 1 a.m. Tuesday, the incident occurred.

The operations concluded around 2:30 a.m., according to a local who just identified himself as Samson.

He added the local security guard at the Reverend father’s residence, as well as a wife and her two children, were killed, while the cleric was kidnapped.

“Due to the stress and gunshots, we couldn’t sleep last night.” Kudenda Catholic Church’s Reverend Father was kidnapped. His bodyguard was killed. Another man was killed in the community, and a mother and her two children were kidnapped,” he said.

When approached, ASP Jalige Mohammed, a police spokesman, said he needed further information before commenting.
