Rasheed Balogun, the General Manager of Ibadan’s Shooting Stars, died after a long battle with illness.

Shooting Stars confirmed Balogun’s death in a post on their Twitter account.

The 62-year-old died on Thursday night, according to the Ibadan-based club.

“OUR GENERAL MANAGER WAS LOST.”

“After a long struggle with an undiagnosed disease that lasted months, RASHEED BALOGUN died on Thursday night. Soon, there will be more information.

“What a heartbreaking Thursday for Oluyole Warriors fans throughout the globe.”

Balogun was named General Manager of Shooting Stars in 2014.
