Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad jersey numbers has been revealed as the team intensified preparations for the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Nigeria side resumed preparations for the competition last week and 28 players were listed to represent the country.
African football governing body CAF increased the number of participating players to 28 instead of 23 to cushion the effect of coronavirus pandemic.
As the three-time African champions are ready to depart the shore of the country for Cameroon, the jersey number of each player has been released.
Rangers of Scotland midfielder Joe Aribo was handed famous number 10 jersey while yet to arrive Odion Ighalo got number 9 in the absence of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Team captain Ahmed Musa retained his number 7 jersey while Union Berlin of Germany striker Taiwo Awoniyi got number 19.
Nigeria will play its opening group match against Pharaoh of Egypt on Tuesday 11th of January.
