Following the aftermath of EndSars peaceful protest by Nigerian Youths which was later hijacked by thugs and hoodlums who caused damages to properties and loss of lives, as well as looting, the CDC chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Alhaji Oshinberu Sulikaleen advised that “Youths should relate with the constitution to understand the way and manner of engagement”.

According to him, after the protests, and upon presentation of the yearnings and agitations of the youth, particularly the 5 for 5 which the Lagos State Governor took to the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, the youth should have waited for a response on their demands but rather they continued the protest and allowed unsuspecting hoodlums use thee occasion to destroy facilities and properties.

He stated further that if the requests are not attended to, constructive agitation should have been employed in an ideal way so it can bring out success, progress, development, and make the country a better place.

The evil perpetrators took advantage of the situation to attack security agency station and cart away firearms, which were meant to be used for the protection of lives and properties.

“If the youth are the leaders of tomorrow, they the youth need to learn the art of diplomacy and understanding legal framework that binds us as citizens.”
