It was the gathering of the the community gladiators and stakeholders at the year 2020 international day for tolerance with the theme : Tolerance amongs citizens as a way to collectively defeat Covid 19 Lagos Perspective, organized on 16th November by Lagos State Ministry of Home Affairs at the NECA House.

The event was well attended by Permenent Secretaries and Directors from MDAs, Special Adviser to the governor, reliogious leaders and community development champion, also in attendance were fire fighters, LASTMA traffic officer and secondary school students.

In his welcome address, Prince Elegushi, the commissioner for home affairs said “Lagos is the most tolerable and accomodating state in the entire world“

“people have lost lives and means of livelihood due to the pandemic and the state have made provisions for soft loan and appeal to private company not to lay off staff as a way to cushon the effect of the pandemic”

“It is commendable that Lagos resident were tolerable during the pandemic and looked at welfare of each others, We all helped Lagos State to promote health tips to combact the pandemic which is the high level of tolerance”.

“Endurance and pateints serves as motivation to the government in the level of success recorded during the pandemic”.

The Commissioner further admonish that “People should not relent and not let down their guard in the mitigation of the covid 19 as other country are experiencing the second wave of the pandemic”

“We should ensure continuous use of face shield, hand wash, sanitizer and all preventive measures as prescribed by the medical practitioner to protect ourselves”. commissioner had said
