Following the impeachment of Barr. Mahdi Aliyu Gusau as the deputy Governor of Zamfara, Governor Bello Matawalle has appointed Senator Hassan Mohammed Gusau as his new deputy.

Sen Gasau in June 2021 defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC) .

Gasau represents the Zamfara Central at the National Assembly.

Ayekooto reports Zamfara Assembly, in its resumed plenary on Wednesday, impeached Gusau as Deputy Governor with immediate effect.

According to a statement by Zamfara Assembly spokesperson, Mustafa Jafaru Kaura, the former Deputy Governor was found guilty of all the allegations levelled against him.
