Some suspected All Progressives Congress (APC) loyal Political thugs on Thursday, invaded the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ),Bauchi on Thursday, disrupted an ongoing press conference and inflicted sufferings on factional leaders of the party and some journalists.
It was gathered that the hoodlums , in a bid to halt the dissolution of the state executives of the party , which was ongoing, attacked the secretariat of the union at about 10:40am, harassed the factional leaders of the party, while also hurling stones and chairs at journalists and other attendants.
The police force ,led by the PPRO, Bauchi State Police Command, DSP Ahmed Wakili had quickly intervened to save the Bauchi NUJ Press Center from being vandalized by the political thugs.
Some of the miscreants were however arrested and were taken to the Police Command for questioning and further investigation.
