The challenges before the Super Eagles Manager, Gernot Rohr, after renewing his contract are to qualify Nigeria for the 2021 AFCON tournament in Cameroon and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar
The Media Officer of the Super Eagles,Toyin Ibitoye disclosed this while featuring on the BCOS TV Sports programme, ‘Weekend Sports’ anchored by Tosin Sanya and produced by Adewale Tijani.
Mr ibitoye expressed optimism that the Super Eagles with its array of young and vibrant players would qualify for the two major international completions.
He, however, noted that the roads to qualifications for those two competitions might not be smooth.
The University of Ibadan graduate added that the Super Eagles Coaching Crew are also intent on bringing back the entertaining and delightful play, for which the Nigerian teams were renowned in the eighties and nineties, to the present Super Eagles squad.
The Franco German Coach of the Super Eagles last week signed another two year deal that will make him tinker the three time African Champions till 2022.
