Pakistan receives second batch of Sinopharm jab


Pakistan has received its second batch of 500,000 Sinopharm jabs from China moving the country’s supply to one million, the Health Minister, Dr Faisal Sultan said.

Pakistan, a country of 220 million people launched her inoculation program for the public on March 10, commencing with the elderly.

“These 500,000 doses will ensure smooth continuation of our vaccine drive, currently under way for senior citizens,” Dr. Sultan tweeted.

According to government data on Thursday, Pakistan has reported 615,810 COVID-19 infections with 13,717 fatalities.
