Oyo, Osun benefits 940 Cartons Of Milk for COVID -19 palliatives

The Board of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, has donated 470 cartons of milk each to Oyo and Osun states to serve as palliatives to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in both states.

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, who announced the decision to make the donations in a statement, said that the school’s gesture was in a bid to expedite the recovery of COVID- 19 patients in the two states.

He stressed further that the University donated milk because COVID- 19 patients were expected to have an improved protein diet.

While speaking at the delivery of the cartons of milk in Ibadan, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Michael Ologunde, who led the school’s team disclosed that the institution was elated by the turn of events for the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, who tested positive for coronavirus and recovered speedily.
While at Osogbo, the vice-chancellor, who was accompanied by the University Librarian, Dr. Modupe Aboyade, prayed that those who had tested positive to the virus would recover in no distant time.

He also urged Nigerians to obey government directives as a potent way to curb the spread of COVID – 19.
