Nigeria to play Algeria in International friendly in September

Share

The Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Desert Foxes of Algeria will square off in an international friendly match in September, according to reports coming out of Algiers.

The initial matchup between the Algerian team and the Ghanaian Black Stars, who are headed to the World Cup in Qatar, was canceled for a variety of reasons.

In recent days, the Algeria Football Association has been in talks with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), and it appears that an agreement has been reached.

Under the direction of coach Djamel Belmadi, the Desert Foxes will face the Super Eagles three times, winning each one, including the illustrious 2019 African Cup of Nations semifinal match.

On September 27, the amicable game will take place in Oran, Algeria.
