My husband is not a magician – Remi Tinubu
By: Mary Owolabi
President Bola Tinubu’s wife, Oluremi Tinubu, stated on Sunday that her husband is not a magician.
She made the comments in Abuja during the interdenominational church service to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd year of independence, with the theme “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
She claimed that although the Tinubu administration inherited the current predicament, it is committed to make things right without placing the blame on any previous administrations.
“Everything we inherited was the result of events that occurred many years prior; we are not here to criticize any administration but rather to repair the harm that has been done.
“My husband is not a magician; he is going to work, and I believe and hope that we will have peace in this country; the best is yet to come to us,” the woman stated.
“Good governance can only have a positive impact if people emulate Jesus Christ, our Lord, who exemplified the fruit of the spirit, including love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, and forgiveness.
“A Nigeria of abundance has begun, and to be a part of the greatness that God has started in the nation, Nigerians must look beyond their current realities and embrace hope anew,” she stated.
If we adopt the character of Christ, who declared in Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest,” there is no hardship, challenge, or impediment that we cannot conquer.
In difficult circumstances, all we can do is hold onto the vibrant hope that Jesus Christ has sown within us.
