The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Borno has chosen Hon. Bello Ayuba as its new state chairman. Ayuba previously served as the party’s state secretary.
This momentous development occurred at a special party congress when his predecessor, Ali Bukar Dalori, was promoted to the role of APC deputy national chairman, North.
The Deputy National Chairman presided over the extraordinary state congress, which was attended by Governor Babagana Zulum. Governor Zulum said in his statements that Ayuba’s victory was founded on ideas of equity for all regions of the state in terms of political office appointments.
After a very long time, Ayuba’s election to the position of chairman represents the first time a politician from southern Borno has assumed the position of state chairman of a ruling party in the state.
Barrister Loskuri, the General Manager of Monday, was also chosen by the congress to serve as the new state secretary.
Ayuba conveyed his gratitude and sense of duty in his acceptance speech.
“As I stand before you as the newly appointed Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Borno State, today represents a crucial turning point in my political career. The trust and confidence you have placed in me has made me extremely happy and honored, and I accept this investiture with the highest gratitude and a sense of tremendous responsibility”.
Governor Zulum was praised for his vision and for giving the go-ahead for his appointment. Additionally, he praised the government’s accomplishments in a number of areas, saying that they have simplified the party’s work by allowing people to have their wishes in terms of campaign pledges fulfilled.
Ayuba vowed his loyalty to the established authorities, discipline, and mobilization of the populace to uphold the APC’s entire dominance in Borno.
In addition, he cautioned against anti-party activity. “You cannot be a member of the APC and plan to undermine the party,” the statement reads. Anti-party sentiment is therefore unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
Ayuba concluded by urging group leadership and assuring stakeholders of an open-door approach.
In his words, “I offer myself today as a servant and shall maintain fairness to all that will make the APC a darling for all.”
The entire country waits in eager anticipation as Ayuba assumes leadership of the APC in Borno, opening a new chapter in the state’s political history.
